Warren Passes Ordinance To Allow Outdoor Dining
This ordinance also permits businesses that provide yoga, martial arts, or similar instruction to apply for a permit.
WARREN, NJ — The Warren Committee introduced an ordinance on June 3 to allow township restaurants to apply for an outdoor dining permit now that Gov. Phil Murphy is allowing operations to resume on June 15 following the coronavirus closure.
"It is time for restaurants and commerce in Warren to reopen. Our community needs the services and the renewed economic vitality," said Mayor Michael "Mick" Marion.
Applications for outdoor dining will be mailed or emailed to all restaurants within the coming days and will be available on the Zoning Permits page of the Warren Township Website at warrrennj.org/zoning-permits.

All applications pursuant to this Ordinance shall be submitted to the Zoning Officer who will review and act upon the permits in accordance with the Ordinance. For questions about the zoning application, call the Zoning Department at 908-753-8000, ext. 243.
For those businesses with a liquor license who wish to implement outdoor dining, contact Cathy Reese, Township Clerk, at 908-753-8000, ext. 223 to obtain direction according to State Regulations.

This ordinance also permits businesses that provide yoga, martial arts, or similar instruction to obtain a permit through the Recreation Department for such use at the Municipal Complex or Wagner Farm. Businesses who are interested should contact the Warren Township Recreation Department at 908-753-8000, ext. 270 or 271.
Committeewoman Jolanta Maziarz is coordinating with the Warren Township Chamber of Commerce in assisting the business community in implementing the provisions of this new Ordinance.
Deputy Mayor George Lazo and Committeeman Gary DiNardo conducted a walking tour of Township businesses in order to assure them of the Township Committee’s support for their reopening.
