WARREN, NJ — Warren Police saved the day Tuesday when they stopped a township grandparent from being scammed out of $18,000.
A Broadway resident reported a scam on Tuesday at 3:50 p.m. where they were tricked into sending $18,000 by courier to be used as "bail money" for their grandchild, according to police.
Luckily, police were able to stop the money and return it to the resident. This is an ongoing scam that targets grandparents and dupes them out of money, said police.
