"I have a lot of family members who are teachers in special education that stress the fact that virtual learning and lockdowns are affecting those with disabilities. The disruption of routine for everyone in general and mental health I think especially is important now to show our support," said Ciampa.
Autism Healthcare Collaborative is a global company with its headquarters in Warren Township. Ciampa noted how the company has been offering telehealth services such as counseling throughout the pandemic to help others.

Throughout April, Ciampa said Warren officers will be sporting the badges on their uniforms and the magnets on their patrol vehicles.
"The purpose of celebrating Autism Awareness month every April is to promote better understanding and to bring people together to support for those living with autism. It is especially important now, due to the COVID-19 epidemic. We want to support children and adults with autism to adjust to the demand of lockdowns and virtual learning," said Ciampa.
