Warren Resident Joins Statewide Mental Health Association Board

John J. Sarno, Esq., Joins Statewide Mental Health Association Board

The Mental Health Association in New Jersey (MHANJ) is pleased to announce that Warren resident John J. Sarno, Esq., has joined its Board of Trustees. As a long-standing advocate for mental health causes since the beginning of his career, this board appointment was a natural fit, enabling Mr. Sarno to further his keen interest in the mental health of all New Jerseyans.

Since 1995 Mr. Sarno has served as President of the Employers Association of New Jersey. He has also applied his multifaceted knowledge of employment practices as a lecturer on law, ethics and public policy at New Jersey Institute of Technology for over ten years.

Mr. Sarno was an Associate Attorney at Robinson Miller, LLC (formerly Robinson, St. John & Wayne) for several years. He has served as Director of the Office of Specialized Services and a Career Counselor at Ramapo College of New Jersey.

Mr. Sarno earned is Juris Doctor Degree at Seton Hall School of Law, a Master of Arts Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling also from Seton Hall University and his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology Degree from Ramapo College of New Jersey.

A stalwart member of the community, Mr. Sarno is a long-term Trustee at the Community Health Law Project and an Advisory Council Member for the New Jersey Department of Health.
