Warren School Board Meetings To Return To In-Person

WARREN, NJ — Warren Township School Board will be returning to in-person meetings beginning on July 19 since switching to virtual due to the coronavirus pandemic.
School Board Member Lisa DiMaggio said the board had initially planned to have the in-person meeting with no real-time participation via technology. The meeting would instead be recorded and posted online the following day.
However, Governor Phil Murphy recently updated his Executive Order 242 which would extend the allowance of remote public comment.

"It is unclear how long that extension is," said DiMaggio.
DiMaggio, who is part of the board's Curriculum, Communication Technology Committee, said the recommendation is to allow Zoom access at the live in-person meeting on July 19 and also extend public commentary through the end of December.
