Warren Schools Switch To Virtual Due To Icy Weather

Due to predicted icy conditions, there will be no in-person instruction for Warren Township students Tuesday.

WARREN, NJ — The Warren Township School District switched students to virtual on Tuesday due to the "forecast of icy road conditions."

The district sent out an alert announcing Tuesday would be a distance learning day.

A winter weather advisory has been issued for Somerset County Tuesday through 4 a.m. on Wednesday by the National Weather Service.

Mixed precipitation with snow accumulations of up to one inch and ice accumulations of around one-tenth of an inch are predicted, according to the NWS.

"Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute," according to the NWS.
