Warren Swimmer Heads To Olympic Trials

WARREN, NJ — Warren local and Somerset Valley YMCA Swim Team member Matt Fallon has made it to the Olympic Trials.
Fallon earned a USA World Junior Team selection in the 200 Breaststroke, breaking the New Jersey swimming record in the process at the U.S. Nationals on Aug. 4.
His time of 2:13.36 was fourth all-time in USA swimming for boys ages 15 and 16. He will be attending the World Junior Championships held in Budapest, Hungary, at the end of the month.

The Olympic Trials will take place in Omaha, Nebraska next June and this is where athletes will earn their spot on the U.S. Olympic Team and be able to represent the United States in the 2020 Summer Olympics.
The Somerset Valley YMCA Swim Team, based out of Somerville YMCA, is a branch of Somerset County and Plainfield YMCA whose cause is to strengthen community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
