Warrenbrook Senior Center Closed Friday Due To Weather

Somerset County Senior Centers will close Friday in anticipation of inclement weather.

WARREN, NJ — The Warrenbrook Senior Center is among the Somerset County centers that will close Friday in anticipation of inclement weather.

Somerset County Senior Centers closing include: Hillsborough, Montgomery, Quail Brook, Warrenbrook and the Senior Wellness Centers in Bernards and Bridgewater.

A flood watch and a high wind watch have been issued for Warren by the National Weather Service in anticipation of the "major" nor'easter impacting New Jersey. ( See Related: High-Wind, Flood Watch In Effect For Warren)

Somerset County Transportation will attempt to deliver Meals on Wheels. Should they be unable to access a residence, clients are asked to use non-perishable meals sent out earlier in the season. If clients do not have frozen meals, or if they have lost power, they can use Heater Meals, shelf-stable meals that come in an orange box. Directions for heating are on the box. Heater Meals are not intended for use in a microwave oven.

The Senior Wellness Center at Bridgewater, located at 835 Main St., is also cancelling the traditional Chinese New Year Celebration on Friday.

The Office on Aging and Disability Services, located at 27 Warren St. in Somerville, will be open on Friday.
