"We have been very fortunate that we have not had any more deaths. Of the 16 deaths, 12 were ages 80-plus and the other four were between 65 and 79 years old," said Lazo. "Why I am saying that is, it's a fact, it's a stat. We have to be concerned for those vulnerable and those that are up in age, we have to be very careful around them."

Warren also provided a breakdown of ages in cases:

  • Age 0-15: 8
  • Age 15-19: 19
  • Age 20-24: 27
  • Age 25-34: 24
  • Age 35-44: 36
  • Age 45-54: 51
  • Age 55-59: 19
  • Age 60-64: 23
  • Age 65-74: 28
  • Age 75-84: 16
  • Age 84-plus:43

Marion and Lazo also stressed the importance of contact tracing.

"In terms of contact tracing, it is very important. I know that people don't want to give out any information on themselves, especially when they are not feeling well or are sick. We get it but to the extent possible you are helping others making sure that they don't get sick and or if they are to get the right resources in place," said Marion.

Laso also suggested residents give the courtesy to others they have been around.

"If you been exposed, if you tested positive, text your friends or the group you have been around," said Lazo.

Marion added the township is also looking into setting up and hosting its own coronavirus testing site for residents. Nothing has been finalized but is in the works.
