Banjo To Folk-Rock: Here's Watchung Arts Center Spring Lineup

Starting May 8, the center will host a series of musical performances. Their ongoing classes will run until June.

WATCHUNG, NJ — The Watchung Arts Center (WAC) is welcoming Spring with a whole new lineup of music performances, exhibitions, and classes.

Due to the pandemic, all scheduled events will continue to be held virtually.

Over the month of May and beginning of June, WAC is welcoming performances from Folk-Rock artist Chip Mergott, virtuoso classical pianist Sophia Agranovich and banjo player Tony Trischka.

The Center is also showcasing its artworks via a virtual tour. They include artists such as Ruth Brown, Albert E. Cook, Jr., Virginia Carroll, Charlann Meluso, Bryan Murray, Monica Schraiber Otero, and Cecilly B. Sullivan.

Finally, the WAC is currently offering a couple of virtual classes. Their Spring yoga session runs from April 6 to June 18 and includes Gentle, Restorative, and Level II/III Iyenger Classes. Children’s classes in Drawing and Painting Enrichment are slated to run from April 12 to June 7.
