A.C. Moore Closing Watchung Store
A.C. Moore announced Monday it is closing its stores, including 18 in NJ, and will no longer take online orders.

WATCHUNG, NJ — The A.C. Moore store in Watchung will close "as part of a broader strategic plan," by the company, A.C. Moore announced Monday.
A.C. Moore said it decided to "exit its retail operations," the company said. Up to 40 A.C. Moore stores will become Michaels, but the locations that will undergo that change have not yet been announced.

"We are looking forward to re-opening these stores under the Michaels name in 2020 and welcoming new team members," said Michaels CEO Mark Cosby.
The announcement comes as nearly 3,000 more layoffs were announced in New Jersey recently.

There are 18 A.C. Moore stores in New Jersey. The first one opened in 1985. They are located in:

- Clifton
- Deptford
- East Brunswick
- Egg Harbor Township
- Haddon Township
- Hamilton Township
- Linden
- Manalapan
- Mount Laurel
- Newton
- Ocean Township
- Paramus
- Sewell
- Shrewsbury
- Voorhees
- Wall
- Watchung
