Car Stolen Out Of Heritage Square Mall, Found Nearby: Blotter

There were two theft and on shoplifting incident reported last week. See the full Watchung Police Blotter here.

WATCHUNG, NJ — A driver reported their car was stolen out out the Heritage Square Mall last Thursday, early morning, according to the Watchung police.

The car was in the parking lot and had been left unlocked with the keys inside. The owner said the thief fled toward Terril Hill, and the car was later found on a nearby street in Plainfield.

On May 9: Police investigated an incident of shoplifting at Walmart, at around 5:26 p.m. Walmart security said a man tried to leave the store with merchandise worth $115.23 without paying. Charges of shoplifting are pending.

On May 10: At around 2:15 p.m. police received a complaint of workplace harassment from a Walmart employee.

On May 12: At around 8:51 a.m. an Anderson Road resident reported that a recycling container was stolen from their property. There are no suspects at this time.

On May 13: At around 11:25 a.m. police responded to a home on Stirling Road to investigate an incident of illegal dumping. The owner of the house said that someone dumped construction debris on his property.

On May 14: At around 4:35 p.m. police was dispatched to the T.G.I Friday's restaurant in response to a report of a dispute between employees. The matter was resolved when police arrived.

On May 14: At around 6:03 p.m. police responded to the Home Depot store to investigate a report of a stolen wallet. The victim reported that a wallet with a cell phone and other personal items was stolen from her cart while in the parking lot. There are no suspects as of now.
