Cop Dragged From Car That Crashes On Front Lawn: SCPO
"I'm willing to fight. A gun and a badge don't scare me. My hands work nice," said a passenger to the North Plainfield Police Officer.

NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ — Two people were arrested after a North Plainfield Police Officer was dragged from a car during a traffic stop Friday morning, Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson said.
On Aug. 2 at about 9:46 a.m. a North Plainfield Police Officer stopped Alasia M. Holder, 22 of Suskin Place, of Piscataway for speeding on Brook Avenue, Robertson said.
The front seat passenger Angel B. Dulaney, 23 of Munn Avenue, of Hillside began threatening the officer by saying, "I'm willing to fight. A gun and a badge don’t scare me. My hands work nice," according to police.

The officer told Dulaney he was under arrest and began opening the passenger-side door to try and get him out of the vehicle, Robertson said.
Dulaney didn't listen to the officer's requests and physically resisted arrest, Robertson said.

Holder then sped away with the officer still partially inside her vehicle causing the officer to be dragged and unable to escape, Robertson said.
Holder then crashed the vehicle into the front yard of a nearby home on Brook Avenue. The officer was transported to a nearby hospital with head and arm injuries and was later released.
Holder and Dulaney were not injured.
Holder was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated assault, second-degree eluding, second-degree hindering, third-degree resisting arrest, and fourth-degree aggravated assault by auto, as well as violations for Title 39 offenses.
Dulaney was arrested and charged with fourth-degree hindering, third-degree terroristic threats, third-degree resisting arrest, fourth-degree obstruction, second-degree disarming a law enforcement officer and (PDP) improper behavior, as well as a Title 39 Seatbelt Violation.
Holder and Dulaney were lodged at the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
