Environmental Education Center Announces Upcoming Events
Check out some of the upcoming events for kids and families at the Environmental Education Center for the week of May 24 through May 31.

The Somerset County Park Commission Environmental Education Center has announced a series of events for the week of May 24 through May 31.
The Environmental Education Center, 190 Lord Stirling Road in Basking Ridge, has scheduled the following Naturalist-led programs for children and adults as the summer season begins making its way here.

Family Nature Walk – FREE PROGRAM Sunday, May 24 from Noon to 1 p.m.
Family and friends will enjoy a Naturalist-led interpretive walk through the Great Swamp.The program is free and pre-registration is not required.

Lily Pad Ponding Saturday, May 30 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Family and friends of all ages will join a Naturalist to examine the life above and below the surface of Lily Pad Pond, home to turtles, frogs, dragonflies and more. Fee is $6 per person. Register online at www.somersetcountyparks.org or call 908-766-2489. Advance payment required.
Blue “BOBO (Buy One – Bring One) Fridays” bins now are located at the Environmental Education Center and Lord Stirling Stable in Basking Ridge, as well as at the Somerset County Park Commission headquarters at North Branch Park in Bridgewater. The public is invited to drop off canned food or personal care items for donation to Somerset County food banks.
