The Somerset County Park Commission Environmental Education Center offers Naturalist-led programs for children and adults

Basking Ridge, NJ -- The Somerset County Park Commission Environmental Education Center at 190 Lord Stirling Road in Basking Ridge has scheduled the following Naturalist-led programs to help children and adults enjoy the wonders of nature during winter in Somerset County.
Children, Teen and Parent/Child Programs
- The Green Team – Free program: Saturday, Feb. 20 from 1 to 4 p.m. Children ages 12 to 15 - Is natural science a subject you find interesting? Do you like the outdoors? Is the Great Swamp a place you like tovisit? If so, join the Environmental Education Center Naturalistsand contribute your talents to fun and educational projects andspecial events. Adult and Family Programs

- Glenhurst Meadows Bird Hike – New: Thursday, Feb. 18 from 1 to 4 p.m. Adult birders will join a Naturalist on a hike to this local birding hotspot. Fee is $20 per person. Register online at www.somersetcountyparks.org or call 908-766-2489. Advance payment required.
- Winter Walking in the Woods: Friday, Feb. 19 from 4 to 5 p.m. Family and friends of all ages will join a Naturalist for a walk through the winter woods for signs of animal activity and changing seasons.
