Naturalist-led programs offered to help children and adults enjoy the wonders of nature during winter in Somerset County

Basking Ridge, NJ -- The Somerset County Park Commission Environmental Education Center at 190 Lord Stirling Road in Basking Ridge has scheduled the following Naturalist-led programs to help children and adults enjoy the wonders of nature during winter in Somerset County.
Children, Teen, and Parent/Child Programs
- Diggin’ Dinosaurs: Tuesday, Feb. 9 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Children age infant to 5 with a parent will discover how fossils are formed and learn about how dinosaurs lived. Fee is $10 per pair and $5 per additional child. Register online at www.somersetcountyparks.org or call 908-766-2489. Advance payment required.
- The Green Team – Free Program: Saturday, Feb. 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. Children ages 12 to 15 - Is natural science a subject you find interesting? Do you like the outdoors? Is the Great Swamp a place you like tovisit? If so, join the Environmental Education Center Naturalistsand contribute your talents to fun and educational projects andspecial events.
