The original mural was painted by Garfield Hunter Jones (1925-1994) around 1965 when the Sears store opened on Route 22 East. The former 16 foot by 10 foot depicts the Dutch Captain Michaleson, Chief One Feather and Princess Wetumpka, the key players in the Legend.

Other amenities include the Luxury Loungers, which are plush, ergonomic over-sized heated recliners with cup holders and footrests. All 10 auditoriums feature Luxury Lounger recliners.
"No more complaining the auditorium is too cold, we got that covered for you," Cinemark's VP of Marketing and Promotions Bryan Jeffries said.
There is also a Cinemark XD Auditorium, which is similar to an IMAX. It is the largest wall-to-wall screen at this theatre, which features a state-of-the-art projector and custom surround sound system.
Jeffries gives a more in-depth look at the new XD theater:
Additionally, the theater offers reserved seating and online ticketing where guests can reserve a seat in advance on cinemark.com or in the Cinemark app.
There is also a Party Room open for birthday parties or events and include a private screening of a movie.
"The hospitality industry in Somerset County is $1.2 billion industry employing 20,000 people we look at that as opportunity to promote good life here in Somerset County," Somerset County Business Partnership President & CEO Michael Kerwin said. "There is no greater example of how it all works than in this amenity we have here to celebrate. I would like to thank Cinemark for picking Watchung and picking Somerset County."
