Green Brook Thanksgiving Turkey Trot To Benefit PBA

Patanella's Green Brook Thanksgiving Turkey Trot​ is open to runners, walkers and strollers on Thanksgiving Day.

GREEN BROOK, NJ — Patanella's Green Brook Thanksgiving Turkey Trot will host its 7th Annual 5K event, benefiting the Green Brook PBA Local #398.

The race will be held Thanksgiving morning on Nov. 23 at 8 a.m. at the Green Brook Middle School, 132 Jefferson Ave., in Green Brook.

The family event invites runners, walkers and strollers.

The USATF certified 5K course is flat and fast with only a rise of 10 feet. The finish line is on the Green Brook Middle School Track. And the race is lead by local officers in a Green Brook Police car.

Participants are encouraged to bring a non perishable food item for donation to the local food bank.

After race refreshments and DJ from Party People Promotions will also be available.

Race day registration and package pick up is from 6 to 7 a.m. 5K race will begin at 8 and 5K runners with strollers begins at 8:01 a.m. Walkers will start at 8:02 a.m.

Cost is $25 for 5K run adults and kids and the kids run is $11 for pre-registration. Race day cost is $20 for adults and kids for the 5K race and $12 for the kids run.
