Brandywine Living at Mountain Ridge Celebrates National Assisted Living Week

(Watchung, NJ) Brandywine Living at Mountain Ridge kicked off National Assisted Living Week 2020 on National Grandparents Day with a social and safe car parade. National Assisted Living Week's mission is to provide a unique opportunity for communities to recognize the important role of assisted living in caring for America’s seniors. This year's theme is Caring is EssentiAL.The team members at Mountain Ridge felt that the annual celebration would not be complete without families being able to participate which inspired the "Honk for Heroes" car parade held on Sunday, September 13, 2020.Family members and friends decorated their cars and brought signs with messages to their loved ones. There was a ton of energy flowing as the community's residents watched their families drive by.Team members handed out delicious "hero sandwiches" to cars in the parade for them to enjoy at home. The event was a huge success with lots of smiles and virtual hugs.
