Washington Avenue Reopened Following Oil Spill

Washington Avenue South in Watchung has reopened as of 11 a.m. following an oil spill on the roadway.

WATCHUNG, NJ —Washington Avenue South in Watchung has reopened as of 11 a.m. following an oil spill on the roadway earlier in the morning, police report.

The roadway was closed from Rock Road down to Route 22, as of 7:40 a.m. It has since been reopened.

Drivers had been advised to use Warrenville Road while it was closed.
