Retired North Plainfield Police Lt. Dies At 88

Retired North Plainfield Police Lt. Joseph Didodo, 88, a life-long resident of North Plainfield died on April 14.

NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ — Retired North Plainfield Police Lt. Joseph Didodo, 88, a life-long resident of North Plainfield died on April 14, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset.

Didodo served in the Army Corp of Engineers stationed in Korea before joining the North Plainfield Police Department in 1958. He retired in 1994 after serving for 36 years and reaching the rank of Lieutenant.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lorayne, his mother and father Joseph and Emilia, his sister and her husband Mary and Willard Kennedy.

He is survived by his sister Lee Jackson and nephews Daniel Jackson, William Kennedy and Robert Jackson and his wife Judith.

Memorial services will be announced.
