Stumpy's Hatchet House Reveals Address, Opening Date

A combination of food, drinks and hatchet throwing, Stumpy's announces a proposed opening date and location address.

GREEN BROOK, NJ — Stumpy's Hatchet House — a combination of food, drinks and hatchet throwing — has just announced its proposed location and opening date.

Stumpy's Hatchet House of Green Brook will be located at 159 Route 22 East in what was formerly the Capitol Lighting building.

Stumpy's will occupy approximately 8,100 square feet, which is about 75 percent of the building, that will include 14 throwing pits. It will be on the side of the building closest to Capital Craft.

"Work is progressing and we hope to push the date up closer to the May 1 side of that schedule," Stumpy's owner Mark Milan said.

Demolition started March 12 and construction began last week on March 19.

Stumpy's offers patrons an opportunity to take turns hurling their hatchet at a target, honing in on their form and technique in a safe, controlled throwing pit.

When not throwing, friends can gather in the common area at large farm tables and comfy couches.
