Third Watchung Bear Sighting In 3 Days
"Please use caution when entering or exiting your house. Make noise to alert any bears of your presence, but avoid startling them"

Watchung, NJ -- A bear was spotted for the third day in a row in Watchung, Police reported Saturday.
The sighting was reproted around 9 a.m., Saturday on High Tor Road. The bear had previously been spotted roaming on Johnston Drive, closer to the Watchung Avenue end around 9:30 a.m. on Friday and then on Thursday around 4:15 p.m. in the area of Johnston Drive and Skyline Drive.
"Please use caution when entering or exiting your house. Make noise to alert any bears of your presence, but avoid startling them if possible. If the the bear becomes aware of your presence, and does not wander off, notify police immediately," Watchung Police announced through Nixle.
