Watchung, Green Brook Schools, WHRHS Have 2-Hour Delayed Opening

WATCHUNG/GREEN BROOK, NJ - All Watchung, Green Brook Schools and Watchung Hills Regional High School will have a two hour delayed opening Thursday, due to inclement weather and poor road conditions.

Watchung

Valley View School will start at 10:15 a.m. Bayberry School will start at 10:45 a.m. Preschool classes will start at 11 a.m. Lunch periods will be held in both schools. After school activities will run as scheduled. Best Time will only operate after school.

WHRHS

WHRHS will follow a Day 3 schedule with classes beginning at 9:30 a.m.

• Time Slot 2 - 10:12 - 10:49
• Time Slot 3 - 10:54 - 11:31
• Lunch - 11:31 - 12:11
• Time Slot 4 - 12:14 - 12:51
• Time Slot 5 - 12:56 - 1:33
• Time Slot 6 - 1:38 - 2:15

The wintry weather brought about an average of 3 inches of snow to the New Jersey area along with ice.

In Somerset County, the National Weather Forecast offered the following snow totals for Wednesday:

• Somerset 2.0 in
• Branchburg Twp 2.0 in
• Somerville 2.0 in
• Bridgewater 2.0 in
• 1 NW Bridgewater 1.7 in
• Neshanic Station 1.6 in
• Basking Ridge 1.5 in
