Watchung Memorial Day Celebrations In Person Come 'Rain Or Shine'

The Texier House Museum is reopening and Memorial Day will be celebrated just outside, by the War Memorial, at 9:30 a.m.

WATCHUNG, NJ — Celebrations are back in person this year for Memorial Day, come "rain or shine," the Watchung borough announced.

In time for May 31, the Texier House Museum is reopening, after being closed for over a year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Memorial Day will be celebrated outside the building, in front of the War Memorial at the Watchung Circle, starting at 9:30 a.m.

Visitors can go explore the building and learn about different ongoing initiatives, such as the Eagle Scout project.

A vintage fire truck and military vehicles will be parked onsite during the event, which is scheduled to go on until 11:30 a.m.
