Watchung Walmart Remains Closed Friday
A water pipe burst, causing the store to close in the early afternoon on Tuesday.
WATCHUNG, NJ — The Walmart store located in the Watchung Square Mall. remains closed on Friday.
A water pipe burst causing the store to close in the early afternoon on Tuesday.
Water damage was caused to the store's serve equipment. The pipe broke right about the server causing the store to lose all power, Walmart spokesperson Cara Aston told Patch.

The store is still waiting to receive some equipment, Aston said on Friday morning.
Reopening will depend on when new server equipment can be reissued to the store, located at 1501 US-22 in Watchung.

Those in need of prescriptions should call their doctor to have them refilled at a nearby Walmart location such as in Union or Piscataway.
