Weather Closes Washington Avenue In Green Brook

Gov. Phil Murphy, speaking during a midday press conference, said the "worst of the weather" was still expected.

GREEN BROOK, NJ — Washington Avenue is closed until further notice due to weather conditions, police said.

Enough wet snow – 8 to 12 inches in spots – could fall and down wires. Power outages were already reported in towns throughout the state.

Gov. Phil Murphy, speaking during a midday press conference, said the "worst of the weather" was still expected and could cause a lot of problems during the evening commute.
