Expect Heavy Rain, Flooding & High Winds After 3pm On December 24 In West Windsor

Bring in objects that can become projectiles and make sure you have tested generators.

December 24, 2020

In great 2020 Fashion, we are expecting a heavy wind, rain, thunderstorm and flooding event. My Dorothy/Toto Index is a solid 8 on this one with winds reaching over 50 mph. Remember to tie down small dogs and children. Bring in objects that can become projectiles and make sure you have tested generators. Elsa is sad as there will be snow for this event but there will be rain. A lot of it!!! The rain will be rolling in late this afternoon (after 3pm) as will the wind and some thunderstorms. I have met with Chief Lynch and the Mayor and we are ready for any emergencies which may come up.

Here is the short version:
Power Outage - Please call your utility company not WWPD
Flooding - Turn Around Don't Drown. Entering closed roads will get you a summons and a flooded car.
Generators - Run them safely, away from homes/garages.
All of this should clear up in the early morning. No worries for Santa as he uses the same equipment as the hurricane hunter aircraft as well as his reindeer are all weather flyers! Stay tuned for the NORAD Report.

Stay Safe & Warm!
Chief Garofalo
