Math Genie Opens Fifth NJ Location in Plainsboro

Math Genie, an after-school enrichment program has opened its fifth NJ location in Plainsboro.

Math Genie, an after-school enrichment program that teaches children to do mathematics by using an abacus, has opened its fifth New Jersey location in Plainsboro Plaza on Schalks Crossing Road.

Math Genie differentiates itself from other enrichment programs by using the abacus as a learning tool, in conjunction with the Common Core. “Children learn to do math by first manipulating beads, and then visualizing them. This enables them to do the problems in their heads,” explained Mohit S. Jain, who co-founded the company with his wife Naina in 2008.

In addition to its primary subject, Math Genie provides enrichment programs in reading and writing for children aged 3-1/2 to 13. Class sizes are kept small with no more than five students in classes for those 5 years old and younger and no more than eight students in the older classes.
