Montessori Corner Students Donate Board Games to Children in Need
Students collected more than 30 board games for children who are supported by Plainsboro Food Pantry
Students at Montessori Corner Princeton Meadows in Plainsboro recently collected more than 30 board games to benefit Plainsboro Food Pantry, a local organization that supports community members in need. Throughout December, students hosted a donation drive to collect board games for children whose families receive support from the food pantry. At the end of the collection, students helped organize the donations for delivery to the organization. Through these initiative, students learned the importance of giving back and helping others in their community.
Plainsboro Food Pantry currently provides food to more than 50 families in the community. The organization is funded through a government grant and obtains food and monetary donations from corporations, community groups and individuals. Recipients are accepted based on income level and need, and receive nonperishable food items twice each month.
