The WWPD stands together with supporting initiatives of NJ Attorney General Gurbir Grewal and Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo Onofri.
October 22, 2020
Chief Garofalo is announcing the WWPD's participation in the DEA's National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day being held on Saturday October 24, 2020 from 10 am to 2 pm. The WWPD's Detective Bureau will have a tent set up in front parking lot of the WWPD Headquarters. The WWPD stands together with supporting initiatives of NJ Attorney General Gurbir Grewal and Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo Onofri in breaking the cycle of addiction. The WWPD has excellent resources through the Religious Leaders of West Windsor, the West Windsor-Plainsboro Alliance, City of Angels, and the Recovery Advocates of America. We join our partners throughout the area for this opportunity to safely discard unused prescriptions.

**NOTE: Since Covid-19 struck, the WWPD has CLOSED its Dropoff Box in the lobby of the WWPD Headquarters and it will be re-opened AFTER the DEA National Drug Take-Back Day. We ask that anyone wishing to come on Oct. 24th or into the WWPD Headquarters for drug dropoffs in the future to please follow CDC & NJ Dept. of Health Guidelines for wearing a face mask as well as practicing Social Distancing. The safety of our Officers and our community is paramount. Additionally, our Detectives will be setting up a tent and as that only (1) representative per group approaches the dropoff area.--Lt. Lee
