Wash Rd In West Windsor Will Remain Closed

Chief Garofalo and West Windsor Township Engineer Francis A. Guzik would like to update the following roadway projects that will affect commuting within our community:

1) Washington Road REMAINS CLOSED through at least Thursday October 15, 2020 from US Route 1 to Route #64 (PJ Train Station). Access to local businesses and residences will continue to be allowed via the US Route 1 closure area.
2) On or about Wednesday, October 14, 2020 a contractor for NJAW will begin trench repair and limited resurfacing work on Alexander Road, between Princeton-Hightstown Road and the Wallace Road. During the weekday hours of 7 AM until 4 PM, traffic will be detoured around the work area using local roads, and adjusted as the work progresses. Outside of these times the road will be fully reopened to the public. Work is anticipated to be completed within 3 calendar days, weather permitting.

A more complete resurfacing project for this road in this area including pedestrian improvements is being planned by the Township, and is currently expected to be undertaken in Spring 2021.
