West Windsor Among Best NJ Towns To Live In, Report Says

West Windsor received an A+ on Niche's NJ report card.

WEST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, NJ — If you live in West Windsor and were thinking about moving, you might want to think twice: a new report says there’s almost no place in the state that’s better to live.

Niche has come out with its new 2019 rankings of the "Best Places to Live" in New Jersey, but for at least the third year in a row, it took a bit of a unique approach: The consumer rankings service assigned a grade, on an A+-to-D- scale, to almost every town in the state.

West Windsor was among 60 towns in the state that received an A+ in the new rankings. To arrive at the rankings, Niche.com took several factors into consideration, such as the quality of local schools, crime rates, housing trends, employment statistics and access to amenities.

Niche created a standardized score for each factor, and after weighting each factor, an overall score was calculated, which was again given a new standardized score.

West Windsor received an A+ for public schools and being a good for families. It got an A- for housing and diversity, a B+ for nightlife and a B for crime and safety.

According to Niche:
“Living in West Windsor Township offers residents a suburban feel and most residents own their homes. In West Windsor Township there are a lot of parks. Many families live in West Windsor Township and residents tend to lean liberal. The public schools in West Windsor Township are highly rated.”
