INCIDENT: 2021-25 Burglary (Commercial) and Criminal Mischief
DATE & TIME OCCURRED: Between 12/31/20 & 01/01/21 (Reported 1/01/21)
LOCATION OCCURRED: Harrison Street

DETAILS: Ptl. Heath was detailed to a commercial burglary on Harrison Street. Investigation determined that during the overnight hours, someone had forcefully pried a dead bolt lock on the back door and gained entry into the building. Det. J. Jones processed the crime scene for evidence. Nothing was believed to have been stolen from the offices inside.

LOCATION OCCURRED: In front of Residence in Hunters Run development

Suspect: Dark skinned male, heavy build, with a mini afro hair style

DETAILS: Sgt. Loretucci was detailed to the Hunters Run development for the theft of a package containing an Apple iPhone from Verizon Wireless. Investigation determined the following; While the victim was awaiting the delivery of an iPhone, he noticed a white Honda Civic sedan with a PA license plate, dark tinted windows, red colored wheels, and racing stickers on the rear window parked in front of his house for over 40 minutes. When the UPS truck arrived, the driver of the Civic shouted to the UPS driver that the package was for him, and the UPS driver handed the package to the suspect. The victim observed this and came running out of his house yelling about the package. The UPS driver then drove in front of the Civic to stop it from leaving, and the victim confronted the suspect. The suspect handed the package to the victim, put his car in reverse, and then went around the UPS truck to get away.

LOCATION OCCURRED: The Mews at Princeton Junction parking lot

DETAILS: Ptl. Nagy was detailed to investigate a burglary to a motor vehicle parked in the Mews parking lot. The victim reported that after unloading groceries from his vehicle the night before, he came out to his vehicle the next morning to find his passenger side front door ajar. Inside the vehicle he found the contents of his glovebox emptied onto the seat. The victim did not believe anything had been taken.

Arrested: Alisia M. Turner
Resident of Trenton, NJ 08611
DETAILS: Ptl. S. Van Ness was detailed to Wegmans for a shoplifting. Alisia Turner had been observed by store Asset Protection concealing items into bags that she was carrying. Her companion paid for an item, but Turner did not pay for anything in her bags. When they were confronted by Asset Protection, Turner threw one of the stolen items at the Asset Protection officer, and they ran across the parking lot. They were last seen going into the Home Goods store, and Turner was located inside the women’s bathroom. Turner was also found to have warrants for her arrest from Ewing and Bucks County, PA. She was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending future Court dates in West Windsor, Ewing, and Bucks County, PA.

Arrested: Luis Orlando Hernandez-Ortiz
Resident of Trenton, NJ 08609
DETAILS: Ptl. Knox was detailed to the Lowes Home Improvement store for a shoplifter who was being detained by store personnel. Investigation determined that Luis Orlando Hernandez-Ortiz had concealed five (5) DeWalt battery packs valued at $295.00 under his clothing and left the store without paying for the items. Hernandez-Ortiz was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at Mercer County Superior Court.

DATES: Between 01/11/21 through 01/21/21 on six (6) different occasions
LOCATION OCCURRED: Various locations throughout West Windsor Township.

DETAILS: On six (6) different dates, between January 11th and January 21st of this year, piles of scrap and old building materials were dumped in six different locations throughout West Windsor. The locations included the parking lots of Van Nest Park, Zaitz Park, and the Community Park Tennis Courts, and, on the grounds of the Village Elementary School and Grover Middle School. A small U-Haul box truck was used during some of the incidents. Det. J. Jones is investigating.

DATE & TIME OCCURRED: 01/21/21 between 1:00 PM and 11:00 PM
LOCATION OCCURRED: The Mews at Princeton Junction parking lot

DETAILS: Sgt. Loretucci investigated the theft of a motorcycle from the Mews where the following was reported: The victim recalled last seeing his 2005 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle parked in a space near his apartment at 1:00 PM on the day of the theft. Later that same day, at around 11:00 PM, his wife told him that his motorcycle was missing. The motorcycle was described as being black in color with an orange colored tank.

DETAILS: Ptl. Hoffman investigated the theft of a Samsung S7 cell phone from Larry’s Sunoco where the following was reported by the victim: He was charging his phone using an outlet on the side of the building. He then went into the A-Plus convenience store for approximately 20 minutes. When he returned, he was surprised to find the cell phone was gone, but the wall charger was still plugged into the wall.
