West Windsor Sisters Arm Front Line Workers With Masks
Local Girl Scouts use time at home and take-action skills to help the community during this extraordinary time.

Michelle Huang, a 10th grader from Girl Scout Troop 70037 was attending school at West Windsor-Plainsboro High School. Like all New Jersey students, she is sheltering and attending school from home. Without her usual Girl Scout events and activities to attend, Michelle decide to use her time to help others. She found the Mercer Mask Project.
The Mercer Mask Project was started by a group of seamstresses/ seamsters to make masks for local healthcare professionals, first responders and others in the community. The masks are available free of charge.
Through her Girl Scouting experience, Michelle knew how to take charge and make a difference within her community. Not to be left out of the fun, Michelle’s sister Maggie wanted to get involved too. Maggie is a 5th Grade Girl Scout in Troop 71728 and attends Millstone River Elementary School.

Michelle and Maggie are not focused on what they are missing during their time of sheltering. They are focused on what they can do.
