West Windsor Shut Down, Under Limited State Of Emergency: Police
BREAKING: Police described road conditions during Wednesday's storm as "horrible."

WEST WINDSOR, NJ — West Windsor is under a limited State of Emergency due to the "horrible" road conditions, police said Wednesday afternoon. Fire and Emergency Services Division Manager James Yates made the declaration after consulting with Mayor Hemant Marathe and Police Chief Rob Garofalo during the nor'easter that struck New Jersey on Wednesday.
"It is strongly suggested that all travel be limited to essential services," Garofalo said in an alert sent just before 4 p.m. "Plows are on the road and are well aware of the hazardous conditions. Roads are horrible. Patrols are reporting unsafe travel conditions with a sub layer of ice below the snow layer. Reports are starting to come in with trees across the roadway. As the heavy snow continues to fall, trees will start breaking. Please stay warm and safe if possible. And keep your furry friends close."
Trees or wires have fallen onto every major and most minor roads, and are blocking traffic in West Windsor. Cars are disabled and off the roads and blocking the plows, police said. Anyone who gets stuck should call 911, but not ask someone to come help them get out. West Windsor police cars have become stuck in the snow.
