Alleged Armed Robber Arrested After Yearlong Search
Tasjoin Williams, 19, of Newark, was arrested Monday when the Essex County Prosecutor's Office arrested another teen for allegedly killing an East Orange girl.

A 19-year-old Newark man who was wanted in connection with an armed robbery in West Orange a year ago was arrested this week, officials said Wednesday.Â
According to Sgt. Joe Spero, of the West Orange Detective Bureau, the Newark man, Tasjoin Williams, allegedly robbed a West Orange man on June 19, 2012 on Watson Avenue at gunpoint.
Williams took a cell phone, wallet and liquor a West Orange man bought at store on Watson Avenue, according to the report.

A similar armed robbery occurred four days later in Orange that resulted in Williams' arrest, Spero said.
According to the report, Williams was identified after the Orange incident by video surveillance on Chestnut Street as a suspect in the West Orange robbery. Police then issued a warrant for him in mid-June of 2012.Â

The Essex County Prosecutor's Office with the help of the FBI and Orange Police arrested Williams on Monday while apprehending Al-Muqqadin Means, 18, who is accused of killing a 17-year-old East Orange girl.
Williams is being held on $150,000 bail with no 10 percent while awaiting a court date.Â
