Brendan Tevlin Parents' Interview Airs Tonight on Fox News
The parents of a slain West Orange teen are giving their first national interview.

The story of Brendan Tevlin snowballed after his shooter confessed that he targeted him and three other men as a means of retribution for U.S. military action in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and other Islamic countries, which a New York radio host then called an example of domestic terrorism.
Michael and Allison Tevlin will appear with Fox host Greta Van Susteren on her show “Off the Record,” which was filmed in West Orange, Wednesday at 7 p.m. in their first national interview since the shooting.
The 19-year-old Tevlin just returned home after completing his freshman year at the University of Richmond in Virginia when a group of men approached him June 25 at a stoplight in West Orange. It is believed that Tevlin was targeted for a robbery, but one of the assailants, Ali Muhammad Brown, 29, pulled a gun and shot the teen eight times.

Brown later confessed to the shooting and also said it was payback for U.S. involvement in Islamic countries.
Tevlin’s parents have made minimal comments to the media about the death of their son. At a press conference they said they hoped their son’s story would push legislators to address “epidemic level of gun violence plaguing our country today.”
