District Begins Re-Registration for All Students

A Board Resolution will See a Summer Re-Registration Drive

A letter from Superintendent of School Anthony P. Cavanna will send parents and guardians back to school. Beginning on June 14, and continuing through June 21, students in the West Orange public schools will need to re-register.

According a letter sent home with every student in the district, the West Orange Board of Education periodically re-registers the student body to ensure that those in the schools are "properly domiciled within the Township."

The Board of Education passed a resolution requiring that currently-enrolled students re-register this month. The process asks parents and guardians to complete a form sent home via US Mail, and to appear with the form and supporting documents at Liberty Middle School on one of the scheduled evenings.  Students whose re-registration isn't complete by June 22 will be considered "ineligible for enrollment pursuant to Board policy."
