East Orange Store Sells $50,000 Powerball Lottery Ticket

EAST ORANGE, NJ — A store in Essex County sold a ticket that captured a $50,000 Powerball jackpot for the Saturday, Jan. 2 drawing, lottery officials said.

According to the New Jersey Lottery, the ticket matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball drawn for the Jan. 2 drawing, winning a $50,000 third-tier prize.

The winning ticket from Saturday night’s drawing was sold at Aldo Food Market on North Harrison Street in East Orange.

The winning numbers were: 03, 04, 11, 41, and 67. The Red Power Ball number was 05. The Multiplier number was 02.

In all, 62,164 New Jersey players took home an estimated $310,738 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200. The Powerball jackpot rolls to $410 million for the next drawing to be held Wednesday, Jan. 6, at 10:59 p.m., officials said.
