Free Wig Event For Women With Medical Conditions In Essex County
New Jersey Assemblywoman Britnee Timberlake will host her annual "Covered with Compassion" event on Oct. 28.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — New Jersey Assemblywoman Britnee Timberlake, who represents towns in Essex and Passaic counties, will host her annual “Covered with Compassion” event on Monday, Oct. 28 in East Orange.
At the event, organizers will distribute free wigs donated by community members to women struggling with medical conditions that can cause hair loss.
Upon receiving their complimentary wig, attendees will also have the opportunity to sit with a hairdresser to have their wigs styled to their liking. Other services available at no cost to attendees will include massages, medical screenings and beauty makeovers to “empower them to feel beautiful, inside and out,” organizers said.

Any New Jersey woman who is losing or has lost her hair due to conditions such as cancer and alopecia is welcome to attend. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 520 Main Street, suite 1, in East Orange.
