100K SHOTS

Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo Jr. noted that the county reached a big landmark on Wednesday.

“Today the number of first vaccine doses that we administered surpassed 100,000,” DiVincenzo wrote in a social media post. “Our grand total is now 100,790. This is great progress but we still have to wear masks, practice social distancing and follow the same safety precautions to stop the spread of the virus.”

HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS

DiVincenzo also noted that another encouraging vaccine update took place in West Orange on Thursday.

“Today our mobile COVID-19 vaccination unit is at the Jewish Community Center in West Orange,” he wrote. “In partnership with RWJBarnabas and Margie Heller, we were able to vaccinate 49 Holocaust survivors.”
