Gov. Murphy Praises West Orange Schools For Face Mask Campaign

WEST ORANGE, NJ — “Leaders Wear Masks.” It’s a message that has struck a chord in West Orange – and with Gov. Phil Murphy.

Recently, Murphy praised the West Orange Public School District for its “Leaders Wear Masks” public awareness campaign, which won a 2020 award from the New Jersey School Public Relations Association.

Spearheaded by Perry Bashkoff of Buzz1441, the campaign features West Orange principals, administrators and students wearing masks to encourage their use community-wide.

“With all that is going on around us, this message is especially important,” Murphy said.
