How Much Snow, Freezing Rain, Ice Will Fall In West Orange Today?
Winter Storm Sparta arrives Sunday, bringing freezing temperatures and hazardous weather to town. Here's an hour-by-hour forecast.

No sign of springtime yet. Winter Storm Sparta will roll into West Orange today, bringing inches of snow, freezing rain, and frigid temperatures to town.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory, saying periods of snow and/or wintry precipitation are a high likelihood Sunday afternoon into Monday morning, and again Tuesday evening.
Snow will begin to fall around 9 a.m. in West Orange Sunday, becoming heavier around 1 p.m., with a high near 30 degrees. Up to two inches will accumulate during the day, according to the National Weather Service.

Snow and freezing rain will continue to hammer West Orange Sunday night. Up to three more inches snow and a tenth of an inch of ice could accumulate overnight, with snow falling mainly before 1 a.m. Monday will be bitter cold with wind chills in the 20s and wind gusts as high as 17 miles-per-hour.

A brief warm up and some rain on Wednesday could cause pockets of poor drainage flooding throughout this area, according to the National Weather Service.
