A liquor license is up for grabs in West Orange, but it will cost bidders at least $35,000, officials say.
WEST ORANGE, NJ — An ABC license is up for grabs in West Orange, but it will cost bidders at least $35,000, officials say.
A public auction for a plenary retail consumption license will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19 at West Orange Municipal Building Conference Room 109, located at 66 Main Street.
The minimum bid is $35,000. Successful bidders must immediately make a minimum deposit of 25 percent. The balance of the funds are due by Sept. 20.

The successful bidder for the liquor license must submit a complete “good faith” transfer application to the municipality and pay the fee for the transfer of the license by Friday, Oct. 4. They must submit a renewal application to the municipality and pay the associated fee by June 30, 2020.
