National Guard Departs For Capitol From West Orange: Report
National Guard service members departed from West Orange to Washington, D.C. to aid in security after the Capitol riots.
WEST ORANGE, NJ — A contingent of National Guard service members departed from West Orange en route to Washington, D.C. last weekend, a report says. They were among nearly 500 guard members from New Jersey deployed to aid security after last week’s storming of the Capitol building.
About 90 soldiers from the National Guard’s Troop B, 102nd Cavalry Regiment left from the West Orange armory on Sunday. Other contingents departed from Mount Holly, Blackwood, Teaneck and Egg Harbor, NJ.com reported. Read the full article here.
