NJ Man's $1 Trillion Lawsuit Blames Trump For Coronavirus Deaths

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — After Arnett Thomas was convicted of murder, kidnapping and robbery, he spent more than 20 years in prison before his release in 2000. Now, the former inmate-turned-activist has seen his life take another unexpected turn as he leads a $1 trillion class action lawsuit against former president Donald Trump.

Thomas, 71, is currently living in Orange, the home base for his legal campaign, which accuses Trump of blundering his response to the pandemic, costing hundreds of thousands of U.S. lives.

The lawsuit, which was filed by Thomas himself and has gained more than 75 co-plaintiffs, also blames Trump for the myriad economic and psychological problems that Americans have suffered during the COVID-19 crisis, North Jersey.com reported.

“The point of all of this is how Trump dealt with the pandemic,” Thomas said, accusing the former president of valuing politics over people’s lives, and recklessly pushing for “herd immunity” despite the lack of a vaccine. Read the full article.

As of Friday, there have been 565,299 deaths linked to the coronavirus in the United States, according to Johns Hopkins University's Coronavirus Resource Center.

In New Jersey, there have been 22,461 confirmed deaths linked to COVID-19, according to the state department of health.
