W. O. resident Explores Creativity and Mental Health on 6/07/21
Join West Orange resident Lynette Sheard for her final bow as host of "Why the Show Must Go On" exploring Art, Creativity and Mental Health

The COVID 19 pandemic was devastating to creative communities. As a result, this weekly webinar entitled “Why the Show Must Go On- How to Maintain your Creative Sanity During the COVID 19 Crisis was created to inspire, support, encourage, and promote creative communities. Each week my special guests included artists, musicians, painters’ poets, chefs, choreographers, clowns, dancers, singers, playwrights, hairdressers’ teachers, stage managers, entrepreneurs, activists, models, authors, recording artists, movie stars, and educators. This year and a half has been so special. We got through it together. Each week we learned, we smiled, we laughed out loud, we cried, and we shared vulnerable emotional spaces that reminded us of how valuable it is to connect to each other. We were reminded of how important our community is to the healing of the world. Now the world is opening up again. We are working again. The audiences are convening again, and Broadway is open again. Our final show will be on June 7th at 5 pm. This will be our farewell webinar. This will be our thank you to the over 5000 participants who joined us via zoom and watched us live on the MHANJ Facebook page. All are welcomed to join us, one last time. It will be an open forum for sharing. I wish continued creative success and emotional wealth to all of you. Sincerely, Lynette Sheard
