On Monday, March 15, Ms. Sheard's special guest will be Dana P. Hawkins, the P. standing for Passionate, Professional, Purposeful, and Powerful, just to name a few, is an East Orange native. She attended Whitney E. Houston Academy of Creative and Performing Arts, where she began her dance journey. Years later, and shortly after graduating from the #1 public HBCU in the nation, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Dana's life would take a purposeful turn as she would now be gracing the stages as an actress. Dana furthered her studies in acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre, where she had to abruptly go virtual as the nation was going into lockdown because of the pandemic. Nonetheless, a professionally trained actress, she is. From Shakespeare's Macbeth, to Dreamgirls, Dana's versatility allows her to transport from many worlds and times. As still as she can be, because the industry is still dark, Dana is itching to get back on stage, and camera.
