WATCH: West Orange High School Steppers Crush the Competition

The WOHS Boys and Girls teams took the top two spots at the Youth Step USA Regional Competition. Check out a video of the steppers here.

The West Orange High School Boys and Girls took first and second place in the Youth Step USA Regional Competition held on Feb. 14 in the high school auditorium. Relive their spectacular performance at last year’s Nationals by checking out the video below.

The Boys Step team, under the direction of William Farley, received a $500 cash prize for their first place win at the Feb. 14 competition.

The Girls Step Team, under the direction of Coach Keisha Yarrel, received a $250 cash prize. Carteret High School rounded out the top three.

The two teams have qualified for the National Competition to be held in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on May 23. The WOHS Boys Team, Ab-Salute, are the current 2013 Regional Champions (New Jersey and Pennsylvania) and former 2012 National Champions. The Girls Step team, Nu Theta Omega, continue to make their mark in Step competition.
